Apple gets sensible about third party web browsers
It appears that Apple will start allowing third-party web browsers on the iPhone. This means that Safari will no
longer be the exclusive browser on the iPhone. Choice is always a good thing and it also could possibly mean that new web-browsers could provide additional functionality such as plugin browsers ala Firefox. The ingenuity of third-party web browsers could also introduce unique and novel ways to browse the web on a small screen.
Apple's notoriously protective method of approving apps for the iPhone meant that previous browsers were rejects for "duplicate functionality". This has meant that the "boob app", a breast fondling application, which could have provided hours of fun to geeks around the world, has been rejected. Fart applications, on the flipside, have been approved by their dozens, proving very popular with geeks and jocks around the world.
