iPhone now officially available unlocked by Apple in Hong Kong

Apple Inc. is offering in Hong Kong a carrier-independent, "unlocked" iPhone that can be used with each customer's wireless operator of choice. According to Apples Hong Kong web site, an iPhone 3G purchased at the Apple Online Store can be activated with any wireless carrier. All that is required is the installation of iTunes 8 and activation is automatically performed.
