Third generation iPhone release – announcing the iPhone 3GS
A brief list of the new features (and not so new):
- same design as the iPhone 3G, but new innards
- new name (the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G Speed)
- 3MP auto-focus camera now with video support and cool touch to focus feature
- 2X the speed, great for games
- 7.2Mbps HSPDA
- voice control, tell you iPhone what to do and your iPhone can also tell you what its doing ("Call Scott Forstall" or "Play The Killers" or "what's playing now?" or "play more songs like this"
- a built-in compass
-data encryption
- improved battery life
